# Introduction

Crunch Network is a decentralized lending platform. It utilizes a pool-based strategy to provide borrowers with access to funds and create wealth for lenders. Our system is designed to bridge the gap between surplus asset holders and those in need of assets.

We support various blockchain assets and have a trust called the [Crunch Depositary Pool ](/crunch-network-lite-paper/crunch-depositary-pool.md)to protect lenders from defaulting borrowers.
